Dead Good Cleaning Tips for Halloween

It's that time of year again! The time of year where Spiders come into our homes for some warmth and love making! And for us arachnophobes, it's terrifying!

What a lot of people are shocked to hear, is that spiders do poo! And they like to leave it all over your windows, windowsills and picture frames and I'll be honest, sometimes it is not the easiest thing to clean either! Although it is Spooky Season, you may want to use store bought decorations and not actual Spider poo, so we brought you some tips on how best to clean it.

First of all, you want to make sure you have dusted your surfaces as wet cloths drag dust and it becomes a chore trying to clear the wet dust. 50% of the time the sills will wipe clean again from a general multi-surface cleaner... the other 50% of the time however, it wont and we will have to pull out the big guns; Cif Cream Cleaner. In my opinion, if Cif doesn't fix it, it's broken beyond repair, it's the god of all products. The glass on the window would be the last thing you clean, there's nothing more annoying than starting with the glass and then spraying down the frames/sills and getting the freshly cleaned window!

We're in a Cost of Living Crisis, so I know what you may be thinking, 'I'll leave those cobwebs up for Halloween so I don't need to buy decorations', and you know what, there's no judgement from us! Many cobwebs tend to situate in places not that visible, corners of rooms where you don't really frequent, behind units, behind your TV... So it may not have the true affect you want. Large cobwebs also allow for dust to sit, so if you have Asthma or any other breathing aliments, it make take a toll on your health.

The most scary task of all though, is cleaning down the sides of your sofa! Especially when you have young children or pets. If you have a partner who puts money loose in their pockets, this may be a great task ;). Lifting those cushions, you cannot surprise me with the things we find now.
